Lal Chowk traders raise GST issues with CGST Commissioner, seek relief | KNO

Srinagar, Jul 14 (KNO): A delegation of the Traders Association Lal Chowk on Tuesday held a meeting with the Commissioner of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Department and raised several issues and grievances related to GST regulations affecting local traders. The Commissioner assured the delegation of full cooperation and positively responded to the concerns raised during the interaction, which the association described as productive and constructive. In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said the delegation, led by Vice President SPS Rattan, along with Jatinder Singh and Nisar Ahmad, discussed various GST-related issues being faced by traders in the city. The spokesperson said the Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured full cooperation in addressing genuine concerns within the ambit of the law. The delegation also expressed gratitude to the CGST Department for the constructive engagement and presented tokens of appreciation to the department officials as a gesture of goodwill during the meeting—(KNO)
